'Cuz if you feel my thigh...

...you're gonna go up high… David Brooks...
I sat next to a Republican senator once at dinner and he had his hand on my inner thigh the whole time. I was like, ehh, get me out of here.
One is left to wonder why he didn't just get himself out of there.

This reminds me of that old "Seinfeld" show, where a gossip columnist thought that Jerry and George were gay; and put that into her column.

Jerry kept coming back to this great line: "We're not gay - not that there's anything wrong with it, if we were."

I went to hear David Brooks speak in Seattle once on a topic that he probably doesn't usually speak on: what to do with your life, after graduating from college. I was surprised to hear him encourage people to follow their dreams, rather than just make money.

I even talked to him briefly, afterwards. Forgive me for saying this about a guy who is, as I recall, a card-carrying Republican, but he seemed like a pretty regular guy. (After writing in his column, last fall, that Sarah Palin wasn't qualified to be vice-president or president, that GOP card might have been revoked)

If he is gay, I'd be surprised - not that there's anything wrong with it, if he is.

I'm pretty sure that's illegal. And frankly I'd bet Brooks isn't the only one who this senator has done this to. I'd hope Brooks would name names here.
