Once again...

...who'da thunk it? Afghanistan vet Lt. Col. Daniel L. Davis...
"Many experts in and from Afghanistan warn that our presence over the past eight years has already hardened a meaningful percentage of the population into viewing the United States as an army of occupation which should be opposed and resisted."
Damn ingrates. I say leave 'em alone, that'll show 'em.

Yeah, that's the ticket...

Yet another example of how the most recent, former president seemed to take anything and turn it into a catastrophe. Of course, he needed to forget about Iraq - he couldn't nor could his key advisors - and concentrate on finding the al Qaeda kingpins; or just turning that task over to mercenaries, while simultaneously removing American soldiers and marines.

Instead, we now have a situation where Iraq and Afghanistan are now, essentially, akin to colonies, or pehaps the 51st and 52nd states. Meanwhile, the American economy still almost seems in a stall.

As President Kennedy, once said in an interview with the late Walter Cronkite, about another war, another occupation, in yet another country whose people, by and large, wanted us to go home, "After all, it's their war, to win or lose."
